Sir:

 

We have been informed of your request and will try to satisfy it. The next report will be the last of this period, which will be resumed, unless there are orders to the contrary (which is not likely), During the last days of the month of September. We will try to make sure the first one reaches you in time for its reading at the first session of your Society of Friends of Space.

 

In the next report I will try to tell you something in advance about the basis on which our guidelines regarding the re-education of reflex mechanisms rest.

 

During the summer months: Both you and Mr Dionisio Garrido Buendía will receive some more widely spaced and less periodic notes, with a miscellany on other aspects of our life on UMMO.

 

My superior in Spain DEII 98 Son of DEII 97, to whom I am subordinate, directs me to express to you our satisfaction at your having complied, during the last session, with what was stipulated.

 

At the risk of being excessively repetitive, we wish to insist that you should not interpret our small imposition in the sense that we DISLIKE YOUR IDENTIFYING YOURSELF TO ANY DEGREE WITH YOUR EARLIER EXPERIENCES; PROCLAIMING THEM WITH AMPLE FREEDOM (at other meetings or in the privacy of your family, or before the official and private media). We have only dared to ask you for that distinction because we consider that, WHETHER YOUR EXPERIENCES ARE TRUE OR FALSE, they may provoke certain forms of discredit in the eyes of certain mentalities which would otherwise be somewhat more willing to accept our identification. We also advise you to show a certain restraint in expressing them, since it would be to the benefit of your interests of prestige. If you do not, the one truly harmed is you. But we maintain, despite everything, the right that inspires you to be totally free to accept and proclaim your own truths. We only pray WOA to grant you the light necessary to find the truth within the limits accessible to you. Until now you have shown a purity of intention: A frankness and a yearning to probe this truth that really move us. No other reasons have led us to continue our contact with you. We do not mean by this that you are the only good man we have found in this murky world of yours. Not even that this goodness is free from more or less serious defects, as befits the weak constitution of the OEMII.

 

You have held out your hand to us when in reality you were more in need of help than we were, and in doing so you have given concrete form to that ineffable counsel of charity which your MAN GOD (JESUS CHRIST) offered you some hundreds of years ago. You have striven, without human respect, to spread some truths which some men strange to you, whether they be real or fictional beings, have been communicating to you for months. And that at the risk of losing the credit and respect of those close to you and your family. Simply because YOU considered it MORAL and JUST. Without any material interests being involved in this gesture.

 

That fine gesture of yours will not be understood by the many men who, with the mentality of that character of Castilian literature: SANCHO, have been mocking you behind your back (because for WOA what counts is not whether you have been mistaken or not in your accounts concerning other extraterrestrial men, but your marvellous purity of aims).

 

Therefore, although we judge that your tactics have been excessively rash, and that you have needlessly bared yourself before others: We feel a deep respect for you.

 

Do not let yourself, Sesma, be taken in by those who advise you murky tendencies of racial or political discrimination. Identify yourself, on the contrary, with those men of the most diverse ideologies: Catholics, socialists, Marxists, free Christians, Buddhists, fascists, Muslims, etc., who within their respective systems yearn to delve into the truth and struggle, like you, to offer their fellow men a fairer and happier planet Earth, despite the corrupt action of their own co-religionists, who rally under the banners of those systems for their own profit.

 

Identify yourself with those white, yellow, black or other-pigmented brothers, with more or less developed neurocortical forms and unequal psychology, who battle with their spiritual weapons against hatred and in favour of progress.

 

Your Society IS ADVANCING. Do not believe the opposite thesis: IT IS ADVANCING SLOWLY and with RELAPSES and REGRESSIONS, but IT IS ADVANCING thanks to the life-giving action of men like you and better than you. This is a FACT VERIFIED BY US, WHICH WE ARE PREPARED TO DEMONSTRATE TO YOU.

 

To conclude, Sesma: I will tell you that next week our Superior will hold a short telephone interview as an occasional farewell for this season.
